JaKo, I really enjoy your creative and intimate portraits.
Maybe you remember my 50mm dilemma during the winter? It seems like I always come back to the Voigtländer Nokton 1.5 VM, because its sharp yet gentle rendering appeals to me. That said; I have taken some urban type of shots with it and while it does OK I think I prefer my CV Ultron 35/1.7 or Contax 50/1.7 for this kind of thing. Not for lack of sharpness (the CV 50/1.5 is actually slightly sharper than the other two), but the gentle low contrast rendering can make it appear slightly muddy at times for gritty stuff unless the light is really good. For people, nature and other "soft" subjects it's wonderful though. ...Show more →
Thank you Helena!
From what you described Nokton 50/1.5 + 'some' Zeiss 50 combo maybe the way to go.
On the other hand, if you like rendering of CV Nokton 50 but wish for more contrast than perhaps Leica Lux-M 50 asph maybe your all-in-one solution. Please keep in mind that both [RF] Nokton 50 and Lux 50 may require Kolari sensor mod for the best stopped down performance, but Lux 50-M can give plenty of bite even at f/1.4 on stock camera.
Some awesome images this page.

It was a perfect day outside and the clouds only made it better. No cpl on these btw. Still learning this lens, but I'll be damned if it isn't addictive in its draw.
Photo taken last evening, June 20, 2016, at 7:27 PM ( an hour and 9 minutes before sunset) looking at farmers fields along Loch Valley Road, New Tripoli, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7rM V3 and my Zeiss 35mm f1.4 Distagon ZM lens, ISO 100, lens set to f11 for 1/50 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed with CornerFix and LR6.

Continuing with my Slanted View of the World
Thank you, Bob! You know, I am holding you single-handedly responsible for my wish to get that hyper wide Voigtlander 10mm lens. Your images using that lens are simply jaw dropping.
^^^^ I'm with Joshua, Bob! Really awesome!! Love the double sunstar image. Like them all!
Joshua...wow! Really like that 18mm...question, for anyone really. I'm heading camping(South of Tahoe) a couple times this summer. Looking to rent a wide( I have access to a Loxia 21)...either Voigt 15lll(or E) or the Batis 18? Which would you choose? Ill be using it for mainly for landscapes. I know the 21 will shine, as will t all of them actually. How does the 18 do for edge to edge landscapes?

Villages of Taormina, Savoca and Forza d’Agro (Godfather filming locations - thankfully, we had the towns to ourselves with nearly zero tourists - i love these little places when they're 'quiet' so you can see them as they are without the invading mobs)
perhaps a simple looking church, but it was originally constructed 1500 years ago (obviously renovated multiple times, recently with a brand new roof)
