Photo taken at 9:08 AM, June 27, 2015 of Daisies, Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine. Image cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 100mm f2.8 Apo-Macro-Elmarit lens and my A7r, ISO 400, lens set to probably about f5.6 for 1/60 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed in LR6.
Came home from a business trip last night and waiting for me was my like new Zeiss Contax Sonnar 100/3.5. Here's a few first snaps, all wide open through a dirty window at the office. It's definitely sharp and I like the colors and contrast from these first few shots. Next, I'll need to try some stopped down.
Bob...congrats on the 100 Sonnar. Great lens!!
Been struggling to post lately. Just not into it at the moment. But, I was able to snap a few.
And a quick question: I usually shoot jog, but yesterday I switched to uncompressed raw to see how I liked it. I wasn't too impressed...the files looked really dull and somewhat lifeless?? And, even using my Loxia 50 @f11, and the edges weren't sharp at all? What gives? Compared to the jpgs, they were horrible? I'm using LR CC, btw...

A7rll and Zeiss Zf 25/2.8
Thanks Gregg . . . nothing like getting a new lens to get me out shooting. Lunchtime walk with the Zeiss Contax Sonnar 100/3.5 . . . again! First three at f/8 and the last two WO @ f/3.5

Bob -- Your new toy is looking great! Congrats on the purchase.
First shot is of a Celebrity Cruise ship docked on the way to Alaska. The balcony to the right above the blue banner is a popular spot to get a good shot of the city...
This is of a drydock ship and Alki Point. The park in the upper right is used by kids to smoke dope and by me for city skyline panos. Eddie Vedder lives in one of the houses to the right of the park.
