tjack - As the winter is long and dark in Finland I try to get out to shoot for a week or two somewhere with more light few times during winter. Usually I end up somewhere with mountains, sea shores, etc. stuff which is very much unlike stuff I typically shoot in Finland. These last ones are from Crete, one of the Greek islands.
I always include GPS-coordinates in my photos (unless I need to hide shooting location for nature preservation or privacy reasons). If you don't have EXIF-viewer in your web browser or at your computer then it might be quite difficult. But if I happen to use zeissimages.com then you can use "UberExif"-function: UberExif @ zeissimages.com
OK...Thanks for the informative reply and looks nice as I'm stuck here in northern Wisconsin which is similar to Finland environment. Little town next over from us is called Oulu, and the one highway around here is FF and is nick-named the finlander freeway. My wife's a Finlander and has been to the country before, her Grandmother was born there.
I got the LA-EAF adapter today with the 85mm 2.8 a-mount lens, took this selfie with the ipad playing around. Seems like a good 85mm for the price and now that I have the adapter I can expand the lens range somewhat.

Small world... I lived few years in Milwaukee, and like Finland I find it hard to do photography in winter (even harder as I was working there and didn't have winter outdoor gear with me). Also was so busy at work during that time that I only visited few times Kettle Moraine State Forest and once Devil's Lake State Park. Didn't never visit North Wisconsin, but what I remember of Milwaukee it was much more like France than Finland, what comes to weather.
You're probably right about the weather, we are considerably further south but for the US we are pretty far north. One last post about it, here's a pic of our backyard and we're expecting 12+ inches of snow tonight...One last question, is that your site then the Zeiss Images?
Here are 3 images taken this morning with my tripod mounted A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens. Images taken out my Kitchen sliding door about 50 minutes after sunrise and processed in LR5.3.

North/South is not directly comparable; North Europe is much warmer than Alaska or Siperia, which are as far north. This is due to the Gulf Stream.

No, it's ran by FM member Jorge Tarralba. I use it as I have bandwidth quota and disk quota issues at my own web site. I like it because it doesn't rape my image with stupid things like scaling, JPG packing artifacts or skrewing EXIF, which are issue in most photo sharing websites like Flickr - I want to display the images as I have done at my computer and not something like Flickr where one has to "undersharpen/blur image just right amount so that Flickr sharpening makes it look about right".
