While not shooting, I did some macro stuff around the house...

Hi Gregg, thank you very much!
I love the translucent colors of the first and last images with your Bokina! Just wonderful!
Manuel LaMantia may come to the US this year and maybe we can arrange a photography trip together. I am not quite sure when though, maybe more like by the end of the year to avoid high season conditions and so. I will update you more when I hear back from him.
A few from my recent trip to Valley of Fire in Nevada. I love the odd shaped rock surfaces with holes. If you stare long enough at these you can see all kinds of weird faces
I really like it so far. For me, the A7 is already deep in the noise by 1000 ISO, yet here I am at 3200. So nice with a 300 at this range because I can stop down for DOF and keep a high shutter to handhold.
The white flowers here bloom for less than twenty-four hours, opening at night and dying by late afternoon the following day. As far as I can see the these cactus blooms represent the one and only bloom and the one and only chance to get pollinated this year. I was backing out of my garage this morning and saw the new bloom and during a walk found a second cactus with its one blossom. All photos taken with A7RII and Leica 90/2.8 Elmarit-R wide open.
