Days are finally getting longer up here in the north. This photo is from Filtvet lighthouse, right outside my home town.Very old building, but a few years ago some locals renewed the whole place. I always find it so peaceful to go there.
Always a pleasure to visit. Great background from an under-recognized FE 35mm, OF, thank you.
Here a young lady, cars and roadway - CY 100/3.5. This lens has (for me) two settings: wide open for people, f8 for icy distant landscapes. Skin tones a specialty.
The first three are from a hike today. Typical Wisconsin winter, with light snow and overcast skies. The fourth is a 50-ish % crop from walking to my office at work.
Charles: Great shots from the beach. After seeing lots and lots of snow for several months, I had thought that I had forgotten what a beach is. Thanks for reminding me .
Jako: Excellent shot with great colors (as always).
Greggf: Amazing bokeh.
Rene: That landscape shot with the snowy mountains in the background is pure gold.
Ronny: Excellent landscape and the 3D effect of those bettle's fangs is just scary. Amazing job.
Helena: Great, atmospheric late winter shots.
Photo taken at 9:03 AM on October 21, 2015 along Limberlost Trail, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens, ISO 100, lens set to probably f11 for 1/60 second; exposure corrected by + 1.07 stops. Processwed in LR6.
Thank you Peire, Ronny and Chris, and everyone else for the Likes!

Sometimes it is just fun to revert to some classic rendering with the 50
Cron IV (Mandler) with the VM-E adapter. This lens is sooo small and
just so easy to use on the A7rII.
Beautiful set!

Helena the CV lenses seem to suit your more gentle style of palette.
Wonderful shots. It almost seems the Loxia 50 is too strong in rendering.
Thank you, that's really nice and encouraging to read.

Yesterday we had some errands in town. The weather is still awful, but fortunately I brought the camera because suddenly the sun came out and for an hour or so the light was wonderful, making all colors very saturated and turning the fjord brilliantly green.
