Revisited my favorite old farms with the Loxia 50 (except #5 which is from CV 15/4.5 III). Can't believe the owners abandoned the yellow farm, because it has beautiful setting by the river - see the last photo. I guess it's too small for a modern family. The red and white one is still in use.
This thread is a pain to keep up with, in particular if one is away for two weeks or so . Excellent work, ladies and gentlemen.
Bob: That model sure liked you or your camera.
Helena: Beautiful winter landscape shots as always.
Joshua: I hate carnival, but that gondola portrait is pure magic. Excellent job.
Phillip: Stunning lightning. Really sorry to hear about your troubles with various pieces of Sony equipment.
Werner: Another wonderful close up with the 70-400G2. I really like the white-blue contrast.
Charles: Beautiful beach shot with the Batis.
Ronny: Excellent series. I really like your "natural, not overdone" editing very much.
Greggf: Great use of DOF on those flower shots (as always).
For big birds, like these white-tailed sea eagles, the a7rii with a fast a-mount SSM lens worked well enough. Focus (re)aquisition sometimes takes too much time, but I have to admit that I like the results from that combo better than what I got out of the D7200/200-500 Nikon combo (which may be simply due to my lack of familiarity with the latter setup).
Photo taken October 19, 2015 in Magic Hour about 11 minutes before sunset, Big Meadows, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 400, lens set to f11 for 1/60 second. Processed in LR6.

Beautiful group, Ole! Your tips to visit are perfect. I visited Hong Kong several times in the late 60's and early 70's while breaking from my time in Vietnam. I feel Hong Kong is one of the most intriguing and interesting cities in the World!!!!
Excellent food, tailors, sights, and people!!!!!!
Thank you mwhartman. Wish I could have seen Hong Kong in those years also - would have been memorable
Helena...that Loxia looking great in your hands! I love the yellow house with the sun behind it. Stellar grab!
Pepjin...two great grabs last page. Killer contrast and clarity!
More Gio and I playing yesterday. I can't get my 8 yr old to do anything with me(and he hates my camera),
Whereas Gio is a natural!

Thank you, Chris!
Did you take those pictures of the eagle in Hokkaido? I was there 4 years ago and we saw a lot of white-tailed sea eagles there. Or are they quite common in Japan?
I posted a few images of the outside of the Colosseum at twilight before. Here are a few images from the inside taken the following morning when the sky was still blue with some clouds. It is hard to minimize the amount of tourists that visit that place in the images....
Thank you very much Gregg! I really like yours too, especially the ones of Gio on the previous page. Btw. it's hard to believe that you took those with a 21mm lens. Looks great.
Beautiful yet again Joshua.
Some more landscapes with Loxia 50. First impression of the lens is positive, but I don't want to say anything more until I have had a chance to try it for more demanding subjects than snowy landscapes.
Helena, your winter landscape shots here and on the previous page are just gorgeous. I love the ones with the red barn but the ones with yellow barn are truly outstanding.
