First time at Yosemite. These are real quick edits on my uncalibrated laptop so please tell me if they look bad. Here are a few pics. Will be here for several more days. No snow for me, unfortunately, but hope to get a horsetail falls shot or two. Here is my first attempt (after waiting for over 5 hours....it is very very crowded today!).
Yesterday I found a used Loxia 50 for a decent price and bought it. Looking forward to receive it and see if it can replace both the C/Y 50/1.7 and CV. Hope so.
Like I mentioned before, the images posted here are truly impressive and the way it moves, this thread is getting close to a wrap speed, too . The page doesn't even last 24 hours now. More power to us
Here are two images from inside the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome taken with the Canon 14mm f/2.8 Mark II. Although I didn't buy the lens for this purpose but I envisioned that it would be useful there since tripod is not allowed. The flip screen of the camera is such a bonus of taking ornate ceilings there. No more sore neck for me!
The first image is a 3-image stitch using that lens but in the process, I lost the circumference of the lower part of the dome. But still, I like the rendition and the resulting image renders the scenery in a very natural way, unlike generated by a 14mm.
