nehemiahphoto...Lovely R80 images. I like them all, but the last one cinches it for me!
Derek...Love the lamp(?)...very cool.
Charles...Very nice portrait. I'd be hard pressed to pick between the Cron and the L. Diff beasts, no doubt, but that Mandler look really nails it, IMO.
I've been sick with the crud that the whole family already had So, I've been shooting a bit more, and I apologize for it in advance. Plus, the wife's working tonight, kids are asleep....so I'm posting
Thanks for bearing with me...

Charles: wonderful portrait, wow! You show where the v4 50 cron beats the 50Lux ASPH even on M body: close up, F/2. I only recently realized it is so fantastic at that range shooting fast apertures, in a close read of Puts' review of the Lux ASPH, and a review of my own portraits. Past 20 feet with my copy at f/2 can produce strange results, which is why some report it is "soft wide open", but of course once you stop down the lens is very good at infinity too Greggf wrote:
Holy Christmas nuts Charlie! I really like that 135! Awesome rendering. The Dodge truck grab is really nice! As is the last one.
TY for kind words, Gregg
Puts says the only M lens sharper than the 135/3.4 is maybe the latest 90 cron. I keep trying to extract this performance When you get the focus correct it is beyond sick on the M9, and very good on the A7.mod. Puts compared it to the great tele-elmar 135/4 and extremely low noise in backgrounds i.e. the sky, was one factor setting the lens apart. Few shoot 135 with a M body, so it is a lonely masterpiece, about 2K today.
Lately on walks I just take two lenses, one on the M9 and one on the A7.mod. Turns out the 135 FL is really a fun counter to a 35 or 28 on the Leica. You can pick out the details in a funky yard:
