I think I did buy it in 2012 (or 2011). But it haven't got much use as I very much love the 2/28. Also I find it harder to shoot with 21 and 25 than 21 and 28, and also the "gap" between 25 and normal lens is bigger than 28 and normal lens.

Overall It's OK lens, but corners at infinity suck, and one is better to prepare to crop 5:4 or 16:9 to avoid corners, as they still suck at f/11 (field curvature at large distances). It also has sometimes similar harshness as MP2/50.

Excellent shots, Samuli. I am really back and forth on this lens. I used to bring 21D, 50P, 100P, then it was 28D, 50P, 85P for a while, but more recently I have started using the 35/1.4D more, and was wondering if the 25 would match well with 35 and 85. I am not sure. Sometimes very nice rendering, great color, not so many aberrations, but the corners and sometimes the boke put me off a bit. I suppose one day I will just have to try it. The 21D is a great lens, but fine detail is a bit rough, and the shape is difficult in my small bags.

Nice images of Havana JaKo - one of my all-time favourite cities for colours, patinas, and just walking around. I'm new to the FM forums and here are a couple of images from a recent visit to Sri Lanka using the a7r and Summilux 50 ASPH, which is a challenging combo but can certainly give some decent results.

Thank you bcdano.
I have only one 50mm RF lens ( Voigtlander Nocton 50/1.5 ASPH LM ) but haven't noticed any challanges with it on A7R. Perhaps issues are related to Leica M dependencies on in-camera correction software?

Regardless, love your images from Sri Lanka and hope to see more of your post o FM.

JaKo - the challenge with the 50 Lux is getting used to it with the Sony EVF and camera layout. But like any tool, the more you use it, the more proficient you will become - in theory anyway...

Hi - I was curious if that is from North Minneapolis looking south as I don't think I've seen it from that perspective?

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I thought your were referring to technical A7R/50 Lux combo issues.
Totally agree; practice makes it perfect, especially when one, just like myself, is new to EVF.

Yes, I also like the Nokton set, but I feel that light was a contributing factor here (Nokton shots were taken in different town, on different day right around sunset, where all shots from Havana were taken between 1-4pm in a very bright light) At the end both CV and Leica-R gave me that old classic look that I was hopping for.

One more set from Havana:

Just wanted to mention that I enjoy looking at this post and all the good photography that is posted from users all around the world using this amazing little camera. Here's one from my area using the A7 and FE 28-70mm. Shot at 70mm f11 handheld.
