As much as I love MF, the AF with the A7rII is fun. The FE 35/1.4 works great even f/1.8 with the setting on AF-C and Zone. With low light action shots it is possible to capture special moments that would not possible otherwise.

A long absence from me, due mostly to my A7R having to spend time with Mr Sony getting a replacement sensor glass fitted under warranty. Now thankfully back in action, and here's one from a weekend trip to the coast where I tried out my Heliar 15mm III, now lacking its hood which allows use of my Benro filters - very pleased with the mod! John
Beautiful image! I would love to hear more about the mod on the lens hood! Where did you have it done? Any pics? Been thinking about doing this myself . . .
Photo taken at 9:11 AM, June 29, 2015 looking from the Egg Rock overlook Mount Desert Island, Acadia NP, Maine at Egg Rock (Island) and Egg Rock Light (and appurtenant buildings and structures) and the Maine mainland. Egg Rock Lighthouse which is outside of Acadia NP, is about 2 miles from Mount Desert Island and sits at the mouth of Frenchman Bay. Image taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 180mm f3.4 Apo Telyt lens and my A7r, ISO 100, lens set to probably f8 for 1/1250 second. Processed in LR6.
John...really nice shot. Pakahakaha beach!
Charles...love the interior church image. And the outside. And the girls!! All very nice!
Bob...really like the fair images, both previous page and now.

Couple very dark night pics...
A7rM and ZM 35 1.4 Distsgon
@f1.4 .3 sec @iso 3200 handheld( Al little shake!!)
@f1.4 1/40 @ISO 12800. It was really, really dark!
Here are a few more A7R2 photos. Landscape made with A7R2 + Sony 28 f/2. Boat photos made with A7R2 + Sony 55/f1.8. The porthole photos was intentionally given a bit of glow/dreamy look.
Cross post with my barely hanging on A7R2 image thread. :-)
Thanks guys
Regarding editing and I do not remember every step that I made on this flower images
But I use nik collection and LR5 and CS6
When I have time, maybe I could start a thread where I try to show the steps
I usually do... if there would be interest of it ?
However, I can sometimes find it difficult to express myself properly in English and write and spell correctly
it can get a little Swedish English .. but you might understand anyway
I've received a few PM regarding editing on the flowers
Some stuff I do and uses
I'm too lazy to use flash so all light is in the editing process
a few steps
ordinary adjustments in LR and sharpening and a few other things in CS6
When I edit my pictures I also use nik collection Color Efex pro ,Viveza , Analog efex pro
Color Efex pro: there I use the Darken / Lighten Center to illuminate the subject
that it would be taken with flash ..and sometimes uses I detail extractor also .
beyond that I use a macro-action that I made myself which works pretty well for some images
but not good for all images ..
I play with the tone curve and saturation, and Vibrance and a split toning to get the colors that I like ( most Yellow and blue )
Sometimes it is not the colors absolutely true to life .. but I will not pay much attention on it .. I go on my feeling and what I think looks good .. there are certainly many who don't like this look but it has become my style on flowershot
Great shot everyone ..this is a great thread which provides inspiration
Beautiful pic's posted on the last pages from everybody....thank you so much for sharing!
@Bob: Yes i do have AF with the 70-400, i am using the LA-EA 3 and you get PDAF as well as IBIS. This is way better than the A7R and LA-EA 4, i used quasi only MF.
With the R2 i can absolutly recommend this lens. Though a little big it is optically excellent and very versatile (from quasi macro to super tele).
AF is very fast and reliable almost on the level of native E-mount lenses.
Great work Bob and thanks for your kind words about the 'Ghosts' series....
^ Beautiful shot Werner! I have a question . . . are you using AF with this lens on the A7rII? If you get AF with this combo, how well does it work? Which adapter?
Indeed, the images posted in this thread are great. Kudos to everyone !
Charles, the family resemblance in the images you posted of Marissa and/or her sisters is too obvious down to the hair do .
A few images of the flamenco dance performance I saw in Seville. The show lasted some 90 minutes and practically nonstop; it was really awesome. However, they deliberately use various spot lights with awful colors to deter decent video results by the audience during the actual dance. And the lighting conditions were low but the A7s came through. As it turned out, they sell DVDs of the performance. Only at the end of each dance, they use a regular stage light and not during the dance itself. I had to color correct the last image of the scarf dance by the main dancer in two edits to get only an OK rendition.
