Fireworks at the Sail manifestation Amsterdam.
I must say Bob did a hell of a job with his firework shots! I think my exposures should have been longer.
Photo taken the evening of July 11, 2015, about 20 minutes before sunset, New Tripoli, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted Sony A7r camera and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 200, lens set to about f16 for 1/20 second and processed in LR6.
From my first walk around the neighborhood after getting the A7rII. I'm pretty happy. It's a whole other manual focusing experience compared to the original A7, but my success rate hasn't changed. It'll take some getting used to.
Processed in Capture One for Sony. I really like their sharpening, but I miss Lightroom's CA tools. Need to upgrade to LR6 eventually, I think--maybe in another paycheck or two.

Sample shot of my daughter with the Batis 85 @ f/2.5. She was not in the mood to be photographed.
I know that feeling, Jordan!

... you get spoiled with those 42MP files...especially with great glass. There is just SO much detail. This lens is amazing...so sharp right from wide open and IMO simply draws beautifully. What can I sell...what can I sell...
Yes, indeed it renders just lovely. Kind of like the FE 35mm f/1.4 I just got. The sharpness and that smooth bokeh rended with the smooth a7rII files. Now I'm in the same pickle. What can I sell...what can I sell...

That's really lovely Joshua, great colours - but I'd like to see the bottom of the dress too, maybe the frame is covering it ?
Thank you, Kevin! I understand what you mean. I do have a few shots that we took just outside the reception area during dinner, some of them showing the entire wedding dress. But I like the pose and the sky of that particular image better for whatever reasons.
Joshua, Kevin, thanks for your precious suggestions... I believe macro photography requires many technicalities so I'm still looking for my own way... the challenge is not to give up before finding the technical solution
Thank you all for Likes received, very encouraging!
Michiel...nice fireworks.
Rene...totally awesome "Afro Jazz" grab...!!
Falcdragon...cool lightning grabs!!
Mike...congrats on the Rll...which lens did you use?
Bob...like the 3 shot pano with the 25, and the subject isolation of people with the 85
Manuel...cool BW macro lizards! I like.
Gregg
A couple more with the borrowed M Cron 50 lV(yes, the ZM 35 1.4 became unstuck from my A7rM!!) well...at least temporarily!
A7rM and M Cron 50 lV
I have posted a number of test photos using the new Samyang 135/2 on the A7RII, linked here. I am astonished by the sharpness and bokeh of this inexpensive lens.

Another Batis 85 sample at f/1.8. This lens, especially with the A7 II's mediocre lower light performance with the small focus point, mates especially well with the Eye AF function, which really works great to nail focus on the eyes.
