I captured this by the beach close to my hotel. What an amazing place!
This was a 3-bracketed photo taken with my FE 16-35/4.
Which one do you prefer?
Fred, both are outstanding!
The highlights are better controlled in #2, but there is a little more shadow detail in #1, i would give the edge to # 2 because i am a stickler for empty spots or open spaces in the clouds great work!

Outstanding Fred! My preference goes to the second one for the pop of color and reflection on the water. Either one is a wall hanger!
Joshua, great to see you back Great shots. I have to thank you for your series with the ZA 135/1.8 with the LA-4 that tempted me to try it. For portraits this lens setup with the A7rII is awesome. I never been able to hand hold a 135mm lens to 1/15sec.
Also to Phillip with his great blogs on the ZA 135/1.8 and LA-4.
Fred superb shots! Personally I love the second, but for mood and subtlety I would choose 1 for the wall
Going through some backup drives and finding stuff I had missed. Last January in Seattle on the eve of the Superbowl. From the #skyviewobservatory atop the Columbia Center
Fred, I, too, am split between the composition and look of the water on #1, and the sky and light on #2. If I can have but one, I'll take #2. But I love both!
