People, thanks for the kind words!
Michiel, you should have seen my smile! Ronnie, Wow! Werner, great Riva shots! Bob, you are going to work early, and it sure pays off for me...:-)
As to the ZM 35 f:1.4, it is far from flawless on the A7R II. It smears irrecoverably at infinity wide open (less than with A7R, by 1 stop, maybe 1 1/2), has heavy vignetting and quite a bit of CA wide open, but that is easy to correct. But it is so good in what it does well. Centre performance may even outperform my Otus 55. It is not for nothing that Lloyd Chambers called the best rangefinder lens bar none (or something like that). But the goodies come with baggage...
More of it, this time close up, with a Hawks' helicoid.
Ronny, it seems you are able to do everything with your Makro-Planar... maybe also coffee Incredible pics of Nitro

Edit: P.S. in the second one (closed eyes) have you applied a kind of zoom filter? I already saw an effect like this in your past posts but was a bit excessive to my eyes... here seems very balanced and increases the Pop...
Pity for the Like function... BTW I'm always impressed when I visit this thread, a continuous astonishment...
Charles, Bob, René, Jordan, "Stormvogel", Ronny, Werner, Michiel, Nicola, Philippe, "bulletlavolta", Kevin, "aeonsim", John, "sachman"... just to mention some of those present in the last pages... Thanks for sharing!!!

Just a few from this morning as I have little time to myself this weekend with visitors in my home. So, excuse me for not commenting specifically on all the awesome images from the past day. There are some great photographers here.
I will be honest, the 70-200 FE was a necessity more than something I really wanted, wouldn't normally go for something quite so slow, but I love it, such a joy to use...
My first 'extreme' macro with the A7Rii. Had to stack with .jpgs. Zerene uses either .jpg or .tiff. When I convert A7Rii raw to tiff they are 128mb and would take a while. Using .jpgs took long enough stacking 68 images- A7Rii Bombus Revival by MedicineMan4040, on Flickr
From the photos I have seen, I'm not particularly impressed with the 16-35/4, quite unlike those taken with the primes, i.e., the 55/1.8 and the two Batis lenses in particular. Since it had been my intention to initially purchase the 55 and the 16-35 with the A7RII this coming week, I now plan on getting only the 55 initially. Any thoughts from those who have the 16-35? BTW, I do recognize that the IQ of a zoom does not typically match that from a prime, but the differences I have observed are fairly dramatic and beyond the "normal" gap, IMO. Comments from those who have the 16-35 would be appreciated.
