Do you guys think that B+W XS-Pro 07 filter could be the issue here?
No, it is a very good filter but it could create some flare if yoy were shooting with the sun low in front of you.
Did you fine tune the AF in daylight or tungsten lightning? My copy needs +18 on my now sold D800E and +15 on my D750. All my f1.4G(24mm, 35mm and 85mm) lenses need around +8 to +11 of AF Tuning on the D800E and D750.

Why not ditch it to find out? I never use a uv filter on my lenses unless I know I'm shooting in a dusty, dirty environment and will have to clean my glass with my shirt. The 58mm has a very recessed front element. I'd feel even less inclined to use one on it.
I actually thought it was going to be smaller. I am not complaining about the size but when I got it last week I was a bit surprised. I thought it would be closer in size to the 50mm 1.4G

another feature that the 58G makes it the GOAT...it weighs like a feather!
My wife has no idea what I buy or sell. All she knows is that I have plenty of lenses and they all look the same. The only exception is when I brought home the 200 f/2. I parked the car, snuck the hood first, then the bag, then the lens..

I think you're just trying to find ANY reason to get rid of this lens just because it's so expensive... The 58G really is the king of all 50's... Most people don't like it because of 1) price 2) not enough subject isolation (ahem, Jason), which is why they end up with an 85mm f/1.4G.
Me?! A subject isolation junkie?! You got the wrong guy

My wife knows about everything I buy/sell, I just make this face....has a bit of a different meaning when I do it....

Bah... Summicron... what about the noctilux? If only money grew on trees! .
Actually I really like both Noctilux and 58/1.4 a lot. Noctilux has way more CA and vignette than 58/1.4 but in the right condition, it is quite amazing. However, 58/1.4 is so much fun that I often bring both and the poor 50/1.4 summilux get left behind. I heard a lot of good things and see some incredible images from 50/2 apo Summicron but with Noct and 58/1.4, I have no urge to try it yet. 55/1.4 Otus is very very nice but the bulk and weight just did not go well with me. If I want to get another 50 ish lense, Canon 50/0.95 is actually quite interesting. Very different way of rendering than both Nikon and Leica and again, in the right circumstance, it is a lot of fun as well.
