Call me crazy, but here is an image from the 58mm on the way home one night using it as a walk around lens. Full moon on Brunelleschi’s dome in Florence.

Thank you, I felt very lucky to have things fall into place like this and be able to use the 58mm to capture this, it was very special to me. As a walk around lens I seem to use it at f2.8 most of the time.

How is the handling with that lens and adapter on the ZF?
Love the photos as-well
I love the ZF and I love the 58mm but they are definitely not made for each other! lol. It looks odd as a combo and it's a bit awkward but not horrible because the 58mm is light enough to not cause much issue for me. I have the older FTZ I adapter and I'm not a big fan of the tripod mount on it so with the FTZ II it would likely be slightly better. If you buy the ZF partly for it's looks, the 58mm makes the ZF look weird. That said, the combo works very well as far as focus accuracy and tracking so despite it's poorer handling, it produces great results.

Somehow I have always loved the rendering of fall colors with the 58mm 1.4
I would never want the ZF, but what I can tell anyone is that my 58mm f/1.4G is almost permanently bolted to one of my Z7 bodies via FTZ and the handling is such that it feels balanced and comfortable to carry all day with a wrist strap and one finger on the grip.
In re the above, I have been tempted to repurchase a Z7 to permanently attach this lens to. But end of day, I also enjoy using it on the Z9, and am preferring the files out of the Z9 so much I have resisted. But for street type use on a smaller body is what's got me thinking about a Z8 next over a second Z9...
The 58mm is a frequent visitor to sunday brunch table. of course, by the time I take the photo, all the bacon slices are gone (at least I caught infraganti the culprit on photo).
All comments welcome, as always.

Took a walk by the South Bay Area salt pond. Had my 58 on the camera and grabbed a few snaps. Only sharing to show what it can do as a "normal" lens stopped down. These are processed slightly to save highlights as web jpegs, the "pano" is a 1:3 crop from the full frame.
