no,
bad onion skin bokeh (at times)
not bad. can't believe it was selling at $599 for a while
it's on sale now at $399, but still, too expensive.
it is just missing something
Sorry about the quadlicated ( if it is a word ) questions, and thank you for the explanation.
It feels pretty bad to waste posts here. My sincere apology. Here is a landscape shot at f1.4 Why 1.4? Well, I was just curious, I guess. Seriously, I do not remember.

From my last session in Bordeaux, France. I think the 58mm really shines when it comes to night photography. The colour rendition is just superb...
Wonderful series indeed... One nitpick would be that on my screen, most of them look a bit too much on the magenta side.

Same, a bit too pink for my taste (this could also be the editing style, which is perfectly fine!)
Love the light though... perfectly matched with the background. Love the balance!
Really nice !! What are your thoughts on this lens? Is it worth the price over a 50mm ?

For A Bokeh whore like me, absolutely. The 3D effect you get for a 50ish lens is ridiculous.
I have read tons of reviews saying that this lens is muddy and not sharp at all before buying it, but, you can pixel peep my pictures in Flickr if you want, the lens wide open is sharp enough you can count the eye lashes in a portrait...What do you need more? Having the spots on the skin models? haha
You absolutely can't give your opinion on a lens by shooting targets only...Who even shoot targets apart from calibrating lenses and body?
Go out and start taking pictures. This lens will tell you a story...

@jefonyx you're killing it man! Between the 58 and 105 thread you have me drooling. Care to share your lighting setup/modifiers?

Haven't been shooting much, if at all -- but I just picked up a D850 when I was in Hong Kong. So naturally, I slapped on the 58 and began snapping.. Little bit rusty!
Sure ! For the daylight shots, I used a Godox AD600B through a Phottix Octa Luna Softbox
For the night shots, I used 2 very cheap Yongnuo YN-300 II, one through a white umbrella, and the other had no modifiers.
