Sooooo we finally got Lagunitas Brewing Company to start dealing out here in Hawaii. Best beer I've had the pleasure of drinking thus far. Their IPA is also very good!
Diggin' the shots everyone! (No pun intended) I have a good buzz going on...

The only thing better than great beer is drinking great beer in Hawaii!
Whew, I just finished going through all 167 pages. What a treat. Thanks all to sharing amazing shots taken by this remarkable lens. I am not quite sure what I will get at the moment, but I am searching a lens in 50 ish focal length as it is one of my favorite focal length. ( I have a 50 1.4D, an old 55 Micro Ai'd, and a broken CY 50 1.4 planar ) Regardless of what lens I get, I will keep coming to this thread and get inspired.
On the weekend that Chanukah winds down, the Christmas tree goes up in the background. Happy holidays from what can only be described as a multi-non-denominational household...

Very nice. And love big bokeh balls!
Thanks. I have a version shot at f4 also that keeps JUST enough of the background together to provide a bit more context and makes it clearer there's actually a lit-up Christmas tree back there. But the bokeh balls tighten way up, almost going hexagonal in places, and that was just too high a price to pay! I like 'em big and soft as well...

got some more landscapes. these are just the ones used with the 58 @ 1.4...
I like the feel of the second image. Given a little bit more interesting/prominent foreground element that would be a really cool shot. Beats another 14mm rock/tree/mountain shot, in my book anyway.
A few from my shoots this past weekend. Still perfecting my craft regarding my take on "lifestyle" photography...and the 58mm does not disappoint and makes a great general lens choice.
Mostly shot wide open at f1.4...but have noticed an increase in sharpness and a DR when a f2.0....so relooking my technique to ensure the same can be achieved at f1.4

Thanks for looking.

Well done JC! F1.4 is a tricky spot with this lens for focus but once you nail it the rendering is phenomenal like you have shown. This group continues to grow which is awesome. I can't remember the last time this thread ducked onto the second page Let's keep it that way!
Not gonna get much Christmas shots from me this year been insanely busy working on the house... sigh.
Meanwhile, here's one from NYC from this past weekend of my wife and I. A very rare spot that we got lucky with... need to go there during the day! Manhattan bridge in the background...
