Dont think I posted this photoshoot here, it was earlier this year in January, miss this lens but good thing I sold it to my good buddy, I can always ask him to borrow it Also did a BTS video, using this lens, which is very good for video btw, super smooth focus ring, video is made with a 5D Mark III and a Nikon D4 with this lens, you can see the bokeh from this lens in the video:
just got back form Destin, met some friends down there and told them I wanted to do a project session just for myself. Being near the water I really wanted to do something different in regards to posing, wardrobe and location. Have lots to go through overall but this one was a quick favorite of mine.

Thanks! poor planning left us literally with minutes as the sun set behind behind me and this was with what little ambient was left. I got about 7 solid keeper shots with different poses in about 10 min.. frantic lol

Nice capture, so serious though.
This was my intention the whole time. I always go for the smiley super happy pictures and I wanted to go for a more serious portrait session that had a different tone yet still beautiful at the same time. I planted the seed in mom and daughters head last month and told them which dress and headband I wanted them to get and the look I was going for. I was really happy with the pictures overall and plan to do more sessions like that.
Love the light and airy feel of this one and the expression is beautiful!
Few friends of ours went to Destin at same time we did, i had planned out a small mini session. due to rain we only had one day to do it and that day was pretty slammed with family activities. We all went to dinner and planned on eating at 4:30pm be done by 5:30pm and leave to go find a nice location not too far that I found on google maps....we arrived at the restaurant at 3:30 to be early and get on the list and even though we did sit down to eat at 5:30, the food service was slow and didn't actually get our food until 6:30 almost and werent done eating until 7:15. We rushed out, found a place on the side of the road and only had about 10 min of ambient light left after the sun had set. (man that sun sets fast at the beach lol)
I feel like we got some really nice images for the little time we had to shoot.

awesome Elijah, like all of them but #1 for me. I love back lit scenes very much so.
Thanks guys!! Shawn, that #1 shot is a winner! I've got a few of those but this was my fav. And it's a real sun backlight, nothing added in post
These locations and these type of shots is why I love using this lens. The rendering comes very close to a medium format look! Almost like Jose Villa style (I wish)
