Tempting, but I'll wait till the details come out later. I've never preordered from Amazon, but I've heard back experiences with them taking forever to get stock in while B&H and Adorama ship much earlier.

I suspect it is spring-loaded so that it pushes back out of the way when a non-AI lens is mounted.

It certainly is sexy looking - I have no qualms with the styling.

But as I've learned over the years dealing with women, the sexiness can wain quickly once she starts talking and you learn some things about her.

Perhaps her viewfinder is to die for. No details on that yet - we'll have to wait for DPR's hands-on preview to find out.

I'm kind of bummed my D600 doesn't support "pure photography" but it does take nice pictures and costs 1k less. Maybe they will enable this feature in a future firmware update.

Fail. It's like shooting a D4 (except it's not a D4!) with D600 autofocus, no video, retro look, and $1400 more. I think I'd just buy a used D600 and pocket the extra cash. The hell with retro look, lol
