Theoretically, any 6x6 system would probably be adaptable. If you have some machining capability, buying a macro ring for each side might be the cheapest way to get the bayonets. Cut them both in half, weld them together in the middle.

Yeah, Playing with the idea of using some folding camera lenses. I have multiple extension ring sets, but this was just a proof of concept. Only damaged bit is the plastic body cap, and it was far thicker than I anticipated - about 3mm. If I cut it again I would have cut a 1-1.5mm relief a bit larger, then gone through in a single shot from the same side Forstner bits worked well. The cap is far stronger than needed. Here is a still life from about 6-7 feet at f5.6.

While I was shooting the skyscapes last night I tried a handheld panoramic series just for grins. Shutter speed on these four frames was .5 second, which isn't challenging the Hasselblad IBIS in the least, at f/16/iso 100. The panoramic end product is 404.27MB with a pixel dimension of 17273 x 8142.

Couldn't seem to focus my Frankstein lens on the 645N - until I noticed I had bumped the diopter adjustment. So, hopefully a few were in focus after I noticed that. Gotta soup the film to find out. Meanwhile, I wandered around with it on the 645Z shooting macros. I'm actually hoping to use it for portraits, but no willing humans were available. Most are wide open at f3.5 and i think the clematis blossom is at f5.6

I'm working on an ad campaign for Qatar Cargo and the X2DII did a great job this week.........and yes, it's the same one that has blown up on the internet. They were flying the aircraft to Fort Worth for me to photograph, the little detour to Horseshoe Bay was the problem........

Hi JWilsonphoto,
I'm curious about the primary blue gradient in the top of the frame - is that post processing, or a gradient lens filter?

Hi Jim,

I just put a little blue gradient at the top to cap it off. Normally I don't like to do that when it tints the clouds, but it was ok for this application.

I have always loved the architecture of our local library.
I have been keeping an eye on the sky and clouds in order to go out for an evening shot.
I was hoping for more clouds as most had dissipated by the time I got there.
No sky replacement, these were the actual colors as the sun came down.
For the blue light shots I did add some stars.
All shots with the GFX100sII and the Laowa 17mm Shift lens.

Just a quick test of the Voigtlander 50/1 adapted to the X2D2. All shot wide open in 36x24 crop mode and run through Topaz for some sharpening.

I don't often go to Ricketts Glen in the summer, as it usually is hard to find enough water. While it's been fairly dry where I live, some of the rains have been going north. A sampling from the trip....

I wanted to experiment with relatively long shutter speeds, is it really possible to trust the IBIS and shoot handheld without tripod. All my concerns were blown away. 1-second exposures with 75P were still perfectly usable despite the weird posture I was shooting crouching on wet rocks 5-second exposures with 28P were half-and-half blurry or still OK.

This is completely new way of shooting for me. I need to experiment more but I have this idea in my head to use the motion blur from wind to create interesting details while at the same time I can get crisp sharp things there too.
