Beautiful light on # 1 Tim .
If the PBG there are like the GCG here then those wings will hardly get used at all - for flight at least.
Congrats on the new 500mm. Looking forward to seeing some more of your shots with it.
That one of the hummer is a class shot especially the bg.
I sold my 500mm Mk1 as I was not using it at all, preferring the lighter 400 5.6.
Martin
Thank you Martin. The 500 mk2 is awfully light, I just love it as a carry around long lens. It also allows quite close focus

Beautiful work, Tim.
Lovely light in the first shot.
Fine detail in the GH shots. The water droplets in the second one add to the capture.
The calm water in the last one add a nice feel to the image.
Socrate
Super thanks Socrate, so glad you like them my friend
#1 Uh huh, you're favorite little Grebe giving you the show! I like the minimal DOF with a great look to the eye here Tim and the light is wonderful. The Grebe is looking a bit magenta to me in this one?
#2 Just a little tight for me, would love to see the highlights toned back a bit more on the feathers to give more color depth. Is that a cigar with some ashes dropping Greenies rule...........
#3 Now there is one I have not seen before, you stuck your neck out on this crop.............
#4 undecided here, an intensely twisted up pose for sure! Eye contact is good, but color on BG is attracting me more than on the bird, again a little pull back on highlights for me here
#5 Isn't that a killer GBH image, I'm loving it buddy

O geez you're going to fire up the nit machine on me!
1 Magenta, I hadn't seen that... until now
2 too tight? Didn't want to back up the yak and scare the guy!
3 yeah it's an odd crop but it is full frame!! I even have him on my phone
4 I'm with you
5 Got a ton of them, I'm trying to meter them out
