GBH nail slide is my fav. plus the bit-o-water ripple just does it for this image and the faint detail of the BG gives a tab bit-o-depth to it as well.
Great stuff Tim, I have been out lately, but seems to be a time of the birds feathers not in good shape molting, and generally a slow time. Nice to see you are getting some good stuff. Am thinking of heading over to Marymoore this afternoon, so will see how it goes. Bruce
More wonderful shots, but really like the GBH nail polishing, certainly a different look at a hummer, always nice to see something a little out of the ordinary.

Beautiful light on # 1 Tim .
If the PBG there are like the GCG here then those wings will hardly get used at all - for flight at least.
Congrats on the new 500mm. Looking forward to seeing some more of your shots with it.
That one of the hummer is a class shot especially the bg.
I sold my 500mm Mk1 as I was not using it at all, preferring the lighter 400 5.6.

Killer set Tim!! Hard to pick one but #4 is really stunning. Can a hummingbird really look sensual? Terrific detail and pose. Thanks for sharing these. Sergio

A super set Tim. These are all very well captured, so just a few comments...
Great light in 1.
Comp and bg in 3 make it a great shot.
4 is my pick - just a great shot, and it looks like he was "inbounds" with the toe drag, but missed the ball.
The GBH in "my" lake have been very uncooperative this year - not 1 nice shot yet this year...

Thanks for the picks Ron!! Yes 4 was inbound, in this location, for whatever reason, they would glide in and then skim the water sometimes before landing. It was fun to shoot. Sorry to hear about your herons, you are one of the best at photographing them!
