Buy the 90. It's a very good lens for a rather low price. Or just do nothing and keep on whining.........
What a nonsense and what a snappy tone in your post again (as usual btw). You are talking about 2 complete different lenses. I own the 90/3.5 SL I and would love to add the 125/2.5, but not at the ridiculous prices that are asked today. Besides that I expect/hope that Zeiss will come with a real 1:1 macro in near future. And that is probably one of the reasons that the 125/2.5 is not in production again. The other reason probably is that Zeiss doesn't want to cannabilize the 100/2.
In the little video in this link the Zeiss representative is talking about longer teles and a new macro for Canon and Nikon in near future:
But it's difficult for people to post photos when "wiseguy always reply like this:
And again these pictures of statues. These must be number 250 and 251 at least.
Why is it difficult for people to post photos.
It's hard to take someone serious when there are a lot of guys saying crap and have never posted one image ever on these forums. They have no uploads. No sites. They don't contribute. They just troll.
I agree about all this pollution.
I also think all the statue pictures are a little lame too. IMO

I just checked on their website and don't see anything there either.
I'll send cameraquest a note asking what's up with this lens.
I wouldn't be surprised if this 75/1.8 will never come. The recent 28/2.8 and 90/3.5 were not very successful (to say the least). Hardly any copies were sold and the 90/3.5 SL II even was a real bargain in the end (about 250 euros).
The cancellation of (and lack of demand for) the 90 SLII is truly unfortunate as it was one of Cosina's finest performers, after the legendary 125 Lanthar.
Their last two SLR lens releases, the 20 and 28, were such seriously compromised designs one wonders why they even bothered bringing them to market. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 75 remains 'vaporware'. The M version provides a 'classic' rendering that's quite soft wide-open, something lots of fine, older glass in that FL range already provide. Being that the 75 lacks any special characteristics, like APO correction, the less-than-enthusiastic reception of the last two product intros must have given them pause.
Cheers! Nice one!
I had few contradicting reports from different stores here - some said Voigt would come with most lenses in SLIII versions, but obviously I don't see it happening..
Perhaps they've decided to re-design it rather than duplicate the M design, as they did with the 3,5/90 APO.
The original 2,5/75 was a nicely built, compact lens but not one that I particularly pined for, like the 90, 125 or 180 SLI (I own all three, so I speak of first-hand experience). Those three really distinguished themselves in some way to merit acquisition syndrome. Even the 40 and 58 have something special about them. As for a 1,8/75 with the identical profile of the M variant, I'd rather reach for the Nikkor 85/1.4 AIS I already own.

I've shot the old Heliar and I liked its color palate better than the Nikkor, which I found too cool and blue for my tastes. It's also way smaller. Maybe the delay is due to a redesign. I'm with John and would love to see a new 75 from Cosina. As for APO or aspherics, it's a Heliar and the 'glow' is part of that heritage, unless it will belong to a different class. Maybe they'll redeem themselves after that 20mm turd they came out with.

+1
Really tried to like the 20/3.5, but it just couldn't make it, even on a D700 . . . so my old worn out 20/2.8D still gets taken along.
