Erm. Bright sunlit is a torture test for dynamic range, and these photos show shadows with no details, so... torture test failed? Or what did you mean?

the range of contrast is wide and my PP skills pretty much suck...but i also don't want fo pull up too much shadow detail or it would look like HDR.
in any case, the details are there and it takes a skilled PP to bring them out without looking too artificial.

I've read about conflicting reports about the strength AA filter on the D600 sensor...but with this Sigma 35/1.4, I can get aliasing on the D600 like the one below (you may not see it here but it's in the original), which either means that the D600 AA filter is weak, or the Sigma is that sharp.
