Went for a walk in some local woodland today and took sig35 and Zeiss 35/2 with me.
The sig35 is pretty close but just lacks a touch of the rendering/micro-contrast/zeiss magic.
Here's the sig35 with some mild PP performed in DPP
I agree about the 'pop'...not quite there like the Zeiss, but it can do pretty well up close, though. Really like the shot above, John! The little blue flowers that create a path from left to right, are awesome!

Went to my dads to swim with the boys, today! Great time, and I brought the Siggy with(and the 85, too!)..
First three are 35 wide open. Last two are 85, wide open! Thought I would include the Sigma 85 shots, since it doesn't have a dedicated thread!

And then, my favorite shots of the day...
My dad and my Mason doing cannonballs together!! The pure JOY on Mason's face is what makes these shots! Shot with the 35, at f3.2, with 1D4...
Thanks for looking!

Thanks AbramG...
Oh, btw, my dad in the above pics is 71 1/2 yrs...in stark contrast to Mason who will be 6 in July!! Not bad for an old feller, huh??!!
