Thanks! It's definitely different here from so many parts of the country and world!
And thanks for appreciating the shot of the picnic tables. I've been trying to capture that for a few years, but think this angle on the subject and the lens compression really work for the pattern.
I like that one too.

Gee Peter, you can be brutal!
I figure I'll practice on what's at hand during my little crevices of free time, and maybe I'll eventually get a chance to go out amidst the "real" wildlife.

Yup, Terry is showing a few of us how to do floral photography.
We've had some bad light and rain yesterday and today, so I just went around the neighbourhood snapping at this and that with a 200mm lens, in between rain showers.

That first shot is splendid, Peter. Wonderful coloration! Here on the US best coast, we've had some beautiful weather of late...

Excellent shooting, Mitesh.
Cormorants in flight are difficult to get right....not the focus, but exposure. People tend to overexpose them in order to show feathers, and thus they depart from the reality. But, yours is good.
The Big bird is as good as it can get, very nicely framed and totally sharp.

Excellent shooting Peter...the colors/detail so vivid...
mitesh: I second the comments from the others; great captures!
Mark: Thanks for sharing...my memories of Spring Break didn't look quite as "interesting"...
Terry: Yes, you do have an eye for the presentation of the floral...looking great here...
Weather here today is cold-gloomy-gray for now, hoping for a burn-off later, and getting out with the gears. Enjoying all of your posts...great work folks...

Mark - are those real women standing outside the bar or plastic mannequins?
Today we have what feels like the first day of spring here - much like the shot at the top of the page. So nice in fact, that i ventured out on a bicycle with my bundle of joy. My first go at cycling since the surgery, now i think about it. I didn't take a camera though, so no shots i'm afraid. Instead, some more spring from the seaside. 350D + EF-S 10-22mm:
