I've had the RX1 for a few weeks now and I must say I'm very impressed with the files. As a SLR / DSLR user, I don't like how small cameras handle and I've never been bothered by pro body / lens weight or size when traveling, trekking, backpacking, etc. So shooting with such a small camera is a little frustrating. The EVF does help tremendously, however.
I'll have time to do a direct image upload later, but in the meantime here are links to several RX1 images from a recent trip.

I got the camera on Friday, and use it in a wedding Saturday. Great lovely camera!
Here is an example of what can be done with flash and fast speed shutter (3 quick pano group picture)

Joachen, excellent shot of the power lines contrasting off the tree.
Helena, both the gas pump and and truck shots are excellent!
Phil, nice abstract on #1 and excellent B&W on #3.
Joan, nice shot of the greens!
Ted, some excellent shots on your pbase link. Why don't you share them directly on this thread?
Ebe5000, interesting pano. I need to give it a try on my RX1 at some point.

Thank you Wayne and Joe!
ebe5000, that's a great looking panorama! Nicely done.

I just love how RX1 handled this scene. All I have done is open the RAW file in Lightroom and export, using defaults. No adjustment of WB, highlights etc..

It is such a pleasure to carry the RX1 on family vacations for an unobtrusive no IQ compromises camera. Pic from a boat we chartered to Yelapa outside Puerto Vallarta MX... took the RX1 and RX100 in my backpack.

Random question: Can you set the AEL button to "spot-lock" on the RX1, as you can in Alpha cameras? By spot lock, I mean if you're in normal (matrix, center-weighted) metering mode, you can then engage the AEL button which will either toggle spot metering, or lock it (depending upon how you set it). Just curious as this is something I use all the time with my SLRs.

Been super busy with work and had no time to process my images. Got a little time to process this one from the other day.
My little dogwood tree at night:

Helena, very nice shots of the tree bark and building entrance.
Phil, nice shots of your granddaughter.
Darrel, really like the B&W shot of Pike's Place. I agree, the RX1 is very nice to use for family outing, vacations, etc.
Wayne, love the contrast and tone on your dogwood tree shot. Nice to see you giving the RX1 some use

Phil, very cute photos of Sophia! Especially the last one.
Wayne, interesting to see a flower photo in B&W. Nice result!
Joe, Darrell and Phil, thanks!
Sorry to post so many photos. It's just that I work from home and take daily walks for exercise. I always bring the camera because there are many things to shoot around here - everything from landscapes to some decay. Here are two abandoned summer cottages:

Helena, pls don't say that. See it this way: this is an image thread, so that is the purpose. And how about the ZE image thread, which has 849 pages, or the 684 page Leica M image pages...
The RX1 is really well suited to your preferred subject matter, and it is always a pleasure..I am sure others agree, and if some don't like what you or I or anyone else posts, how hard is it to operate the scroll wheel ;-)
Wayne, lovely deep blacks and fine focus fade in the composition - dogwood eh? Looks very attractive.
