Well, we can always hope that dreams come true!
Still, a good reason for not putting it in is that IBIS takes space and power and this little camera is already challenged on both of those fronts. I'm not hopeful, but Sony is the master of cramming the maximum amount of stuff in a very small volume. As far as energy efficiency, well they might have a ways to go on that front.

Just am now making my way through all the Europe vacation photos I took back in June/July where I took the A7RIII and RX1RII. Just slightly more than half of the ~1,100 images I took were with the RX1RII and it did a fantastic job I must say. It was my primary camera with the A7RIII being the wide and telephoto body.
Definitely a keeper (until the RX1RIII comes out that is . . .).

I wouldn't want it much larger either, but a bit wider and deeper, add IBIS, use the NP-FW50 sideways and put a grip on it... Would be a pretty sweet upgrade to the RX1RII... And personally I'd like to see an optical/hybrid finder, or at least a fixed one, I hate the pop up and actually don't understand why it has to pop up, takes more room than a fixed one would... jhinkey wrote:

I sold my original RX1 a couple of years ago after an ambivalent relationship with it, loved the output but less keen on fixed rear screen and detatchable EVF. Hummed and hawed for months re the RII - or a Q - but got a deal I was happy with a couple of weeks ago and got a lightly used II with a few exrtas.
So a little like JH - my A7RII can do wide and tele. Same sensor in RX1RII so for me a nice combo and the ability to travel really light at times.
This of course means there will almost certainly be a new model now ! - but likely double what I paid for this.

Another one from Provence this summer (the first image is in the last post at page 28):
With 35 degrees Celsius in the shadow I was happy not having a big heavy bag to carry around...
EDIT:
Here's another one. Then it will be enough of the lavender experience from me. As mentioned earlier I'm not really into flowers - but visiting a couple of lavender fields was an experience. First the sight of the purple flowers, then the aroma or scent, quite intense, and finally taking in the humming sound of hundreds, or thousand of bees all around you.

Hej Ronny,
I really like the "a couple of minutes later" image where suddenly a point of interest rises against the light from the sun. The PP is maybe less to my liking - why is there such a pronounced halo (from sharpening I assume)? I think I would spent a couple of minutes of getting rid of it. Your set of images from Iceland continues to impress!

Greetings from New Zealand! Thanks for sharing guys. I will be joining you from tomorrow onwards after I pick up my rx1r 2. After endless contemplation, I've decided to keep it and sell my a6500 kit. I am so excited..
