Seeing the amazing work posted here pushed me over the edge: I am now the proud owner of a lightly used RX1R II, thanks to another member here. I hope to have something worthy of posting here soon.
Now the question becomes: What to do with the X100T?

Well I'm now a RX1 owner (the original RX1 that is). Just showed up in the mail today and I only had time to shoot mid-day in awful light in hot sticky weather. So apologies for the uninspired shot, but I had to share "first light" with the RX1 (well it's used, so first light for me if not for the camera itself).
I've grown to use the 30~35mm focal range a lot in the past few years and so I figured it was time to try arguably the "best" 35 around these days now that used RX1 prices don't cause nose bleeds
Got to say this thread, of which I'm only up to page 170 so far, is really an amazing collection of talent on display. Just wow.

My first post in this thread - an impromptu portrait at lunch. It was originally a horizontal image but I cropped out the clutter and made it a pretty much portrait format.

Tasty New Zealand lamb chops at a Greek Cafe in Long Beach, California. You guys have to take my words, they WERE really delicious but no, that's not a single portion .
The only minor quibble I have with this camera, I am sure, it has been said many times before, you have to use the left hand to change the aperture. I wish the horizontal dial could be programmed to do that. Oh, well....

I might try a rubber band around the aperture ring so it's easier . It's a little to flush to the lens itself. I don't need to see the numbers there in the camera so if I can get some height to the ring might be easier. Now to find the right rubber band. I got this camera all tricked out. Lol it's my toy

Guy,
I do use rubber bands on my MF lenses for the A7 series camera. In a few cases, I even put rubber band on the zoom ring. But the aperture ring of this camera is on the small side in both diameter and thickness. Hmm, but you brought an idea to me; maybe a smallish zip tie around the aperture ring will do trick. We can put the "knot" on the left hand area at 9 o'clock if you are holding the camera. You can just use your thumb of the left hand to nudge it up or down to change the setting. Kind of like the idea of a few Leica-M lenses for the focusing ring but in this case, it is more for aperture, which you don't do too often. What do you think?
