Nice, interesting work! I particularly like the second and last shot.
thanks! i really wish i'd been better prepared for the first shot in the series. the surfer/skateboarder/cell phone conversator caught me by surprise when i didn't have my camera out and was too close to include in the frame with the car by the time i got it out.

Got my RX1. I am impressed, but not surprised it is great for what it can do. my only complain (given I know all the limitation I expect from A7) is it doesn't have AF-C. A feature I use often with A7 now.
Now I have my travel kit fully set up.
A few images all WO.

Welcome zhangyue! Looking forward to see what you will create with this camera.
The weather was gorgeous (but very unseasonal) this weekend. The unusually high temperatures has caused snow in the mountains to melt prematurely and together with spring tide on Saturday there was the most water in the river I have ever seen:

Thanks! I was pretty sure I was selling my RX1 after getting the A7, but its near-silent shutter sound makes it soo valuable when shooting casually. It doesnt scare anyone away. People actually assume Im shooting video because they dont hear the shutter. Anything more serious and candids like planned photoshoots and engagement shoots can be done with the A7. Weddings are still a DSLR-must though!

congrats on the new camera! i'm assuming you got the evf with it?
i'm surprised to hear that AF-C is useable on the a7. i don't find AF on the rx1 to be useful for anything other than static objects. so far i only use it for when my other hand is full or i have a difficult angle.

Great images! Derek, Helena, yofredmoik.
Helena, I didn't shoot much yet and don't want lower the standard of this thread
however, this is the lens I have been watching for a while, there are no other 35mm lens as good as it, not mention the size.
Derek, the importance of AF-c is not that how fast it can track, but with A7, I can isolate focus from shutter, use AE hold as AF-C hold. It is not fast but it is fast enough for small movement within range. The similar concept I use often for MF. This way improve my keeper rate a lot. With RX1, I can isolate shutter, use AE focus, but no AF-C. I have to constant re-focus, which is a pain. This make me give up this setup sometime by using shutter AF and center AF only, but composition sacrificed.
I haven't got EVF yet, but I am looking. I don't like manual focus with RX1,at least with LCD. too slow. Given time, the AF seems very very accurate.
