I bought a RX100VA last week after coming back from a trip. I had my Fuji X70 with me and it was a PITA to use. Hardly took any photos with it because using it really needs two hands. Selling the X70 now.
The RX100VA has good snap shooting handling (on/off button, W/T rocker, and no lens cap). A bit like Ricoh GR and compact P&S. Excellent zoom lens and useful trick EVF. I don't print anything so the 1" sensor is more than enough.

I have just ordered a RX100VA from Clifton cameras, it was this thread that sold me on the RX100 series. We all love our full frame but sometimes I just can't be bothered sorting out what I want to take, or I don't want to carry a bag.
I think this camera will fill that hole nicely

Yeah... the small sensor produces a bit of color noise when light is dim, but you can clean up the RAW easily with AI denoise.

I'm glad to hear that as most of my shots will be low light. I'm expecting noise, AI tools are a lot better now and I went for the RX100VA for the faster lens as well
One of my favs with this cam (iii) - though this is a small, lower quality export as I don't typically use flickr... yes i should have dragged the shutter more - considering a mild motion blur in post. Annoying as this was an anticipated shot, I confess, i got it wrong.. still I hope you enjoy it
I discovered the best film emulation for the RX100. This is a photo I took years ago on RX100 mk iii, and I printed it a few years later. I found the print the other day and decided to scan it, forgetting to dust off my scanner's glass first.
Haneda Airport (HND) Tokyo, JP. one of the most popular places for the airplane photo crowd with a great outside deck to shoot from along with access for non flyers.

So I already have a RX100VA but it's waayy too nice for edc. Bought fm member chunin's RX100 mk1 for snaps instead. The og one is lighter and thinner than the VA. Has its little quirks but really more similar than different.
Added a fat wrist strap from an old toy camera and little bubble stickers as grip lol 😂
