p.2 #1Sony RX100 Picture Thread
Hi Bill, I have not taken it out in the bright light as of yet but I can tell you it is now my de facto pocket camera. It (like all P&S) has some menu quirks with regard to speed of access but I love it.....waiting on the Franiec grip to come and I'm gonna take it for a walk downtown. If I can manage to leave the D800 at home...

Great leaf shot.

Here is one I tried at the100mm equiv. end of the lens. This guy moved so fast I had about 5 tries before catching him before he shot back down that tunnel.

Scotbot,
These are all excellent! I can only hope when my Sony RX100 arrives I can produce images this good! In addition to the technical aspects of these I also like your composition! Thanks for posting!

Thanks! I processed these using Nik Software's SnapSeed on an iPad 3. It's really excellent for B&W conversions because it has some great algorithms for drama etc. I can't believe it only cost £2.99, I would have paid 10x that without hesitation.

Great shots everyone! I am amazed with IQ with RX100, and decided to buy one yesterday while here on business in Tainan, as a companion to the M9. I am loving the ergonomics and how just much fun the camera is to use

Shots from today!

I'm still getting use to shooting with a P&S but overall it's a joy to use and I'm very happy with my purchase.

OK Charles, your photos from Taiwan, Thailand, Bali, etc. area always top notch, but you're going to kill me with the Taiwan food photos.

Also, great images from scotbot and James!

I'm normally not one for crazy filters, but I really, really dig the painterly filter from this camera. Very awesome.

Thank you Ron The RX100 is great for close ups @ f/1.8 with the Zeiss lens.

Another shot this morning, on the way to meetings in Tainan

David/Charles, more great images and some exceptional b/w tonality, especially coming from what is still a pretty small sensor
