Thank you for the warning, Jefferson.
Now, is this your "red bud tree" ?
(In Ontario they usually start to develop flower buds in late April, so this is a last year's shot).
Petkal: this question will seem retarded,BUT: why can't I see your photos? it shows "previous version" and if I click it, it goes to some what previous version, but still no photo attached.
tried different browser/different machine,same result :|

Adrian, that is a good question......the reason you do not see my pictures is that I delete them when the thread turns to a new page, or when the discussion involving the pictures exhausts itself.
Therefore, they are merely transients illustrations.
BTW, I like your approach to the sky photography thru trees and scrub, as shown above.
Empty sky is generally what I try to stay away from in my bird shots, and I'd rather have a background of this type, although unusual.

#4 ("Unidentified") is my pick. A little more PP and you got it nailed. ( I may be lacking at other venues...but I know my floral shots )
I agree with Gary.
(I may not have my license which would allow me to practice neurosurgery legally in the province of Ontario, but I know florals too. )

Thank you, gentlemen, I do appreciate your feedback...WWYD? ("What Would Y'all Do") - In regards to making it better, that is ... all my PP is self-taught, and there are gaps...lots of them...
Thanks,
Jerry

Thanks for the kind words - I really mean it, encouragement is always good for The Work - and the Workers, too...
By putting the last two pages side-by-side, I can more easily see a lavender and blue-greenish cast to the whites in the flower petals, which you removed; I'm guessing by warming up the white balance a bit?...I was consciously trying to preserve texture in the whites, but I think by doing that I kept them from being truly white. For the background painterly effect, I'm thinking that may be a photoshop effect - or maybe a result of lightening green/blues? After beginning to work with Lightroom about a year ago, probably 90% of my photos never see another program - unless I need to meddle with layers or cloning tools, then I use Elements 9 (I had CS3 for a while, but self-teaching full photoshop is a dangerous path, IMHO ). I like the newer version, and I'm going to revisit that file tomorrow when I have some time...
Really, thanks for showing me some further possibilities; I do appreciate it, because that's why we come around here, after all, eh? Well, speaking for myself, anyway...
Thanks, Gary - and I've appreciated Doc's Pics (and his pups ) for a while, now...
JRomie, I LIKE that hillside...I wish panoramas could be displayed somehow in a way they could be really appreciated - there's detail on that knoll I would love to walk into...
Great Work...
