Edd, I am glad you could touch base ........I like the look of that International hotel.
Well, at least you seem to be riding in a capable motorcar. Also, what a mountain range that is.
Take care.
Good Early Morning,
Peter: That is part of the Toiyabe Range, which I plan on hiking in the late summer-early fall.

This one's going to be a birds and flowers thread isn't it?
Yes, probably
Not a lot of thought into the composition of that one, just sort of took it. But it has pretty colors so I like it. Canon 5D, 50mm f/1.8 II @ 1/2500 f/2.0
This is a mock up of a "facility" for boiling maple sap the old way, and turning it into maple syrup, and people used to do it every spring.
Those cast iron kettles are about 2.5 ft in diameter.

Yep - and since I don't do birds (kind of like "I don't do hardware"), here are a few daffodils from this afternoon.

Incidentally, does anyone see any point in the exposure compensation parameter that appears with image uploads when we check "Show Exif"?
Very nice daffodils, Ernie, it looks like you have a very fine lens there too.
I am not sure about EC in the exif info and its value to other people.....I use EC very seldom myself since most of my photography is done in the manual exposure mode where EC doesn't exist, or if you will, it has no meaning.
The Gunner shot takes the cake though. However, I have an issue with it: I thought the prime directive was to always shoot 200 f/1.8 wide open only ? You are in some deep trouble, mister.
Love all the squirrels - Jerry's, Lefty's, Photon's, and Psychic's. I've got squirrels, too, somewhere.
Jefferson, your dog does look like he's contemplating wickedness.
Gorgeous color in those flowers, Jim.
Peter, those kettles do have presence. Would also be interesting to see them in wider view with the frame and ropes.
PS: Jefferson, could that be partridge in the tree?
