Thanks Ralph, as I mentioned in the AF of 5D3 thread I had 100% in-focus shots fromt the 5D3 with the swans being fairly small in the frame so I was very impressed. Most were in AF mode 2 in AI Servo in High burst mode.

I also love the swans, both Peters amazing closeups (you must be a swan whisperer or something to get so close) and Arbitrages "safer" shots. Those latter are definitely a testament to the new and improved AF on the 5D3. I would struggle to get my 5Dc to take that last without switching to focus to the background all the time.

As it hasn't stopped snowing here since sunday i've got nothing to show i'm afraid. I knew we finished the winter thread too early....

That's a great string of swans you captured there Mr. Trage, and when Peter gives you a +1 rating, you are authorized to push the Rate button on your 5D3 five times and you get a bag of champagne truffles in the mail from Canon the very next day.

I can only say Tschirren, hand made from real chocolate and real, natural ingredients. When you eat chocolate from Tschirren, you know what real chocolate is about, all the legends, all the magical powers it endows. After my first bag of Tschirren chocolate I was ruined for anything else.

Please accept my apologies for the photography, however I was distracted in anticipation of chocolate. I will try to do a better job next time.

That's a great sight, John
Just checked the Tschirren link you have provided, and tagged them for future reference.
Owing to a powerful N. American market penetration by Lindt (mostly) during the past 20 or so years, real chocolate of good quality is readily available in bigger Canadian cities today. Alas, pastry based on good chocolate is still exceedingly scarce. Ours is an apple pie and doughnut continent.

Nice JJ - i like your low contrast style. I've been trying similar of late, but not doing so well.

The off-topic chocolate discussion now has me sitting here lamenting the quality of cocoa based offerings here. Norwegian chocolate is not good, i'm sorry to say, and i miss living in a town with a proper chocolaterie. The doughnuts aren't too great here either.

Jefferson's flowers are pretty in pink and very feminine lookin'.

Reno had sueezed quite a shot out of that scene.

Jerry, that WIF is indeed a very difficult shot to make....tried it once and it was a frustrating thing trying to get a good focus lock. Yours looks much better than mine.

Just imagine the hit rate if you'd had a 5D3 for that WIF I'm sure it would have been at least 4%
