I did too. They were very personal and great to deal with.
Me too, just ordered from Profeel. Did you guys get a confirmation. I live chatted with BH and they wouldn't tell me anything. Screw them for preorders. I'll still order for instock stuff but they just don't care enough to go the extra mile.
Profeel saved me money too. ONly 54$ shipping to Canada. BH charged more than that. Don't know how long it will take till I see what shipping they use but if they have in stock then that is awesome. I'll give them my business from now on if this order is handled efficiently. I've probably ordered over $3000 from BH in the last 3 months alone and yet they are just too big for their own good I guess. 700 preorders before the first evening was over That is crazy unless the poster ment March 2nd evening, then that seems reasonable. But 700 for just people staying up late waiting for an announcement on March 1st
I got a confirmation charge on my credit card with an order number. When I was cancelling my BH pre order, I was told it would ship very soon, thats all. Shipping confirmation matters teh most.
Thanks to everyone for the Profeel heads up. I ordered from them, have the confirmation, and I have been told my camera will ship 2nd day air on Friday.
I cancelled with Amazon.
I noticed that the Canon USA site has been saying for several days that if you order from Canon the estimated shipping date is 3/26.
