Well, larger groups are nice because you get to meet more people, but smaller groups are nice too, because you get to know each other better, and there are less people involved in making decisions I think we might be only three, unless Bernhard manages to get time free.

\I am most interested to try the Contax 80-200/4 (I guess it isn't that heavy?) or the Leica 180mm, and no thanks, not the 200/2.0 for me. I know it is a wonderful and splendid lens, but the weight and cost...
Note that I have the Leica 180/2, not the 180/2.8… It is not much smaller than the Nikon 200/2 VR.
Carsten, Rudi. I have a NEX C3, shooting RAW which you can process in LR, and NEX 5N, which for now only does JPEG. For lenses, Contax G21, G 28, C/Y 35-70. Do you have any interestin any of this, or should I just bring what I am interested in? Plus of course my Canon/Zeiss stuff. But if it is up to me, it'll just be 5 DII pls 35 f:1.4 and 85 f:1.4, and NEX 5N plus Contax 28.
I was considering to take the OM f/3.5 18mm (good for architecture and very light), but it might not be wide enough. I am not sure if I should take a tripod.
Rudi, I am happy to see that you are bringing the 14-24, I have never tried this lens, and would love to. I presume it still has a Nikon mount? I will bring my tripod, so if you like, you can just put an Arca-style plate on your camera and we can share it. I will bring my nodal slide, but not the rest of the pano gear, which gets rather heavy.
Philippe, sadly I cannot use any of your lenses on my D3 I will bring Nikkor 35/2.8, 50MP, 100MP, and maybe my Contax 80-200/4. I guess with Rudi's Nikkor-EOS adapter, you will both be able to try any of these.
I was wondering if it would make sense to bring a laptop, so we could share processing tips, but I have only Aperture and not Lightroom, so maybe not. It would be heavy and bulky in any case, which I would not look forward to.
Vincent, in case you make it, I would love to try your 25/2.8. I was looking forward to trying Cyra's 28/2, but won't get the chance this time after all.
Well, we met, walked around on a fantastic sunny day, and had a very nice time. Philippe and I are old hands at this by now, but Rudi joined us too, and was very friendly and calm, a truly nice person. Bernhard was fortunately able to join us later in the afternoon.
We met at 13.00, visited Gendarmenmarkt, walked up to Unter den Linden, past Berliner Dom, over to the Rotes Rathaus, through Nikolaiviertel, over to the Hackesche Höfe, past Monbijou Park and across the bridge to the Bodemuseum, back to Unter den Linden, To Brandenburger Tor, and then we started parting again, as it was about 19.00.
We will post some photos soon. We will try to post in batches of 3 or 4, like last time, and let the others post relevant photos, before moving to the next batch.
