I ended up with this camera by accident. I purchased four tubs of antique camera gear that a neighbor had inherited from an uncle. A quick pass thru revealed one of every kind of pre-digital P&S, a pile of Kodaks, and a few older SLRs including a nice OM-1n with three lenses. I gave her a couple of hundred bucks for it and finally started rooting thru it the other day. Buried down under everything was this Nikon D80 with a 18-200 VR lens. I did "do the right thing" and let my neighbor know but she was unconcerned about it.
Anyway, I shoot Canon and none of my lenses, of course, will work with it. Still, I played with it for a while and this really is a nice camera! In some ways the Nikon interface is superior to Canon's. I also like the IQ. Really quite good for a crop camera. Still to me everything works backwards. I think Nikon and Canon must have "agreed to diagree" to make everything thing opposite on their equipment.
Anyway, there is no box, cables, documentation nor is the original charger here. I got a third party charger and additional battery which work fine. The user manual is available at Nikon's website. I don't know anything of it's history nor how many clicks it has on it. It certainly looks extremely clean and works perfectly. I've tried to price it with these uncertainties in mind.
The lens is listed here I'm willing to make a package deal.
$375 shipped and includes Paypal fees.
