I have a month old Tamron 18-270mm VC version Di II in excellent condition. I bought it for my wife to take to Italy because I didn't want to send her with a P&S. She got some great shots. Anyways, it has to go now that she's back.
Condition: LNIB. You won't be able to tell it from BNIB.
What's wrong with it: Nothing. The VC works wonderfully. When zooming there is some tightness at 100mm but from what I've read this is common and works out with time. It is much less than when I pulled it out of the box.
Price: $490 Shipped. I prefer Paypal echeck. If you want to pay with credit card please add $10.
Comes with: Box, lens hood, lens cap.
Check my feedback. Satisfaction is guaranteed. I'll give you a 7 day check out period to make sure you like it. You pay return shipping.
I can say this is a great lens for the price. Before upgrading to a 5D and a 24-105 I had this on my XTi. The colors and sharpness were above average for its price point. The VC was good to about three stops (but I'm pretty steady).
Anyway, didn't want to hijack your thread, just wanted to give my two cents to anyone who read this and was on the fence.
Would you consider a trade for a Tamron 28-75mm/f2.8 + cash? This is a full frame lens that I use on a APS-C Canon 20D. The 18-270mm is designed for APS-C cameras only.
