CAMERA IS NO LONGER FOR SALE

I am fortunate enough to own three excellent Canon 1-series bodies including a 1D Mk III and a 1Ds Mk II. The third, a Canon 1D Classic (Original 1D), is used only occasionally and as a result I am putting it up for sale.

The 1D has about 29000 clicks on it. I am the second owner. During my time of ownership, I have not dropped it, used it in inclement weather or abused it in any way. Mine is a non-smoking household. It would come in the original box with everything that was included when it was new. When I say everything, I mean everything from the Canon E-1 strap to the firewire cable and everything in between. I guess I should point out that the original Canon batteries are still in my bag, but I am including a brand-new Lenmar NP-3 which is generally considered the best generic replacement.

Functionally the camera works beautifully. With regard to cosmetics, it looks very, very good with only some minor rub marks on the shoulders. It was used to for two photo jobs approximately three weeks ago and performed great!
Just so there is no question here is what the package includes:

Canon 1D body with approximately 29,000 clicks according to cancount
Canon Strap L4 (well used but included)
Canon Hand Strap E-1 (This strap is new.)
3 Canon NP-3 Ni-MH batteries, one holds a charge well, the other 2 are good for 100-150 shots.
Canon NC-E2 Battery Charger
Canon DC Coupler Kit DCK-E1
Canon Interface Cable IFC-200D6
Canon EOS Digital Solutions Disk V4.3 (This is a copy but is the same as the original)
Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE (Dated but part of the original package.)
Canon EOS-1D Instruction Manual
Canon EOS-1D Software Instruction Manual

My asking price is $695.00 which includes shipping within the CONUS. Payment may be made by credit card through Google Checkout (all I need is your email address) or through paypal. Fees for Google or paypal are included in the price.

You can email me directly at richard.snyder@ gmail.com. My “references” can be checked here by clicking on the green box at the left. My references can also be very easily checked at photo.net at the following link:

Images of the can be sent to serious potential buyers. Please provide an email address.

Thanks for looking.

Dick

Thanks! Good to hear from you again.

There are some items I want to mention to everyone as a result of questions asked in PMs. I will put them here so that they will get noticed more readily.

1. I give a three day inspection on items I sell. If the item is not as I describe then you can return to me, at your expense, for a full refund less shipping charges.

2. A Sandisk 2 GB Ultra II CF card is also included.

3. The Lenmar battery was put through three refresh cycles before using it for the first time. I will throw in two other older generics but they only hold a charge for 100-150 shots or so.

4. The serial number of the camera is 28322.

5. I had not checked the actuation count and was going from memory. I just checked it by software and it showed 26005.

6. The firmware version is 1.4.0

7. Why am I selling this? Because I am crazy!

yea, the great color, high speed synch, easily manageable file size, that will easily print 16x20's one

Bruce,

Thanks for your comments and for responding to the question for me. I have been gone all day. Also, Bruce is right about missing this camera. If it doesn't sell tonight then I plan to withdraw the post. I have done three photo jobs in the past two months where the unique characteristics of this camera have matched the job requirements very well and I used it instead of my newer cameras.

I occasionally get in these moods where I think that an old, semi-retired guy like me doesn't really need all of this nice equipment. That is what prompted this post. That mood is quickly passing.

Maybe I will sell my 1V instead!

Dick
