Brand new UX06 bought this new several days ago. $1100 (echeck + USPS Priority Mail shipping included) FIRM. PM me if you are interested. Canon USA warranty for the next 11 and 1/2 months.
He shot these wide open at f 2.8. I would say its pretty sharp just noisy. Could have used a lower ISO. This is an awesome lens for walk around. If you consider the shot at 24mm looks to be shot in a hallway with no lighting I think it came out pretty good. Kewlcanon you might want to consider stepping outside and and shooting something else at 24mm to show this lens gets pretty wide.
Thanks Mendal, you are correct, very bad lighting...this is on XTi ISO 1600 so it's noisy .

Yeah, I would unpack it and take some more shots---The idea is to sell the lens and you would probably have a better shot if you did it again.
I love my 24-70. What KC did you buy every lens in the canon inventory just to try them out? I see you have a 24-105 out there and I was very tempted by your 10-22 a couple weeks ago!
Yeah colors are vivid . It's kinda heavy but I think I can get used to it. 10-22mm is another awesome lens, I miss it . I'm trying to get 50L now hehehehe.

When I asked them about it, they said the warranty does not transfer. But when it comes to it, the will repair the lens as long as it's under the warranty period.

Hahahah you probably new with Canon..I've sent tons of used lenses under warranty.
Nope...not new. Been turned down a few times because the receipt is under some elses name. For a $90 more than your selling it for you can just buy a new one from b&h (Free Shipping and regular credit card) and save you the trouble of having to prove your the original purchaser. Plus you can return it to B&H if you dont get a sharp copy. I'll tell you what you can do is offer to help with the warranty if you have trouble with any claims with canon within 12 months.
