Look for elements of sky and water. If you can shoot any succulents like cactus, they will light up nicely. Try for a sky in the background. If you get some cumulus, so much the better. Remember, rocks and most conifers look pretty much the same in IR. If possible shoot in RAW, and you can convert and modify as needed in post. Unfortunately the lovely red walls of Sedona will look pretty white in the camera. Here is a gallery of some Lake Powell shots taken in September which may help you decide what to shoot.
