p.1 #1 · Looking for tips on using G9 IR camera?

I just purchased a Canon G9 converted IR camera and am looking for tips on how to best use the camera. I am going to AZ later this week and would like to get some IR images of Sedona, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rick
Look for elements of sky and water. If you can shoot any succulents like cactus, they will light up nicely. Try for a sky in the background. If you get some cumulus, so much the better. Remember, rocks and most conifers look pretty much the same in IR. If possible shoot in RAW, and you can convert and modify as needed in post. Unfortunately the lovely red walls of Sedona will look pretty white in the camera. Here is a gallery of some Lake Powell shots taken in September which may help you decide what to shoot. When you get back, PM me, and maybe I can give you some processing ideas.

Any suggestions for settings? I will shoot in RAW, but have read that you take a white card reading in sunlight and decrease exposure by 1-2 stops. Correct? Other suggestions?
