Beautiful seascape Nick! Where did you shoot that wonderful composition?
Hi Jim, Many thanks! Shot on the beach at Bamburgh, looking out to the Inner Farne Islands. 21st August 2013, 20:15, with my old 400mm L. I was there with a bunch of my buddies from my old camera club. The light was weird and wonderful all at the same time – flat calm. North sea like a mill pond.
Wonderful Nick! Nope, nothing specific, just worn slick from the relentless waves of ridiculous behavior, pandemic and general stupidity that seems to be our daily staple now.
I have this recurring urge to sell everything, buy a beautiful RV, chuck it all and hit the road. Just go shoot stock and take a deep breath.................
There's an ancillary benefit to your videos, Jim. The remind me of an America that is for the most part, the wide open spaces: "Oh give me land, lotsa land, and the starry skies above. Don't fence me in." Did you take this video from MOAC? Beautiful.

What about an urge to let go everything and go interstellar and be lost there?
Note: Credit to pictures' owners, those are not mine...

Amen Jim,
I spent an hour camped out on Winscott Plover Road on the south edge of Tarrant County watching the rain yesterday....didn't want to leave.
25 years ago I spent 5 days at ThunderRanch in the Hill Country learning from Clint Smith and his crew a different kind of shooting. IIRC budy and I got a quick tour of the Mooney factory in Kerrsville. One night got to watch thunderstorms as they rolled in from Mexico. Goodness, it was beautiful..
Anwar, those a exquisite pictures.....thank you, Sir, and "yes, I could go interstellar anytime." In fact, at 82 years old, I better be careful what I pray for, eh? OTOH. taking up residence amongst the galaxies would indeed be exciting.

I am half of your age, 44, and "yes, I would/will go interstellar anytime and be lost there"
Well, having a close call with "Interstellar" a month ago, I'll go with the RV for now. Not that I am not looking forward to "Looking into His Wonderful Face......." I have a couple of things I'd still like to do.

Now I got it
I meant by "interstellar" real physical space travel with a space suit and a rocket/spaceship
not the other type of "interstellar" journey!

America is truly blessed with abundance in USABLE land. Some countries may be similar in size or even bigger, none of them has usable/livable land like the good old USA.
The UK has repainted their version of "Air Force 1". It now sports a more colorful, and stylish paint scheme. If the UK's prime minister, or royal family is flying into an airport near you, they are no longer travelling in a grey tube.
