I can get you Texas BBQ curbside Chandler and I flew the other night, then went to Rudy's Drive Thru and had BBQ together in the parking lot. Haircut...............well.......what size bowl do you think we might need?
......I am "hair challenged" on the top Jim. The sides and back just don't look nice on an aging "chrome dome"!!
Do they ship? Man I am dying for some good "Tey-has" ribs!!
Thanks Jim!!

Today the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds teamed up to fly over several cities on the east coast to show support to the front line medical workers fighting the Wuhan virus (That's how I want to call it, even though I am from China originally, I despise the CCP). These were shot in Philadelphia this afternoon. The sky was very blue but somewhat hazy. Not the sharpest airplane shots I have taken but they have special meaning. It's also very very rare to see the two teams flying together.
Beautiful, Douglas, beautiful. I took a few from the upper deck of the Philly Art Museum during the flyover up here. I'm working on them now. It was for me an entirely emotional experience, standing amidst former military members who also are photogs. Good work, dear friend, and having spent much time in the Far East, it is NOT the people, God Bless em, it's the CCP, and anybody with half a brain would know that. But, I digress. Be well, Sir,

Thank you, Sir! I drove four hours (round trip) from house to Philly to witness this event. I was at Walnut St. and S. 30th St. I bet the view from the upper deck of the art museum must be amazing. For some reasons my pictures don't look sharp. I had the Sony A7RIV +200-600 and the Sony A9+100-400 with me but used the A7RIV+200-600mm for most of the shots. I had never used that combo for airplanes before. The Sony A7RIII+200-600 combo gave me incredibly sharp airshow pictures last year. Must be operator errors. Anyway, I truly enjoyed being there. I had never seen the two teams flying at the same time. They both performed at same airshow at the Andrews AFB last year but weren't in the air together, obviously.
Good grief, Douglas, ya gotta give me a head's up when you're up this way again. Four hours round trip deserves a hot meal and a night's stay here with us. When "happy days are here again," you, Danbp, and I (and Fred Amico, if we can get him here from LA area) will head to the really good cheese steak emporia in town - on me.
Oh, and as the thread on rangefinder forum announces itself: "Sharpness is a bourgoise concept" (or something like that).

Thank you Anthony! If you ever come down the Baltimore/DC area, I would love to buy you and Dan a dinner to thank you both for your service. BTW, I just finished a book called "Miracle at Midway". It's a very comprehensive record of the battle, at times too many details from both sides. It's a great history book but not one I will likely read again. On the other hand, I have read Eugene Sledge's "With the Old Breed" and "The Last Stand of Fox Company" by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin several times, and will read them again. Hope the Rolling Thunder protest in DC will still take place this year.
Ya know, Douglas, I've never been to 8th and I, and I haven't seen the USMC Iwo Jima Memorial since I ran the USMC Marathon back in the Dark Ages; nor have I ever seen the Tomb of the Unknown and the Changing of the Guard. It'd be great if when this stuff is over with, if you, DanPB and I could meet up down your way and do that, finishing up with a walk along the Wall. Maybe you and I could horn swoggle (?) him to come join us. Old as I'm getting, I wanna make good use of the time the Head Marine up there has given me.
Hey............Hey!...................I'm in for any of those get togethersWHat. treat that would be!
Nice work guys, Douglas will tell you that we had less than favorable conditions when they all (except The Blues who were in "Time Out") flew down the Hudson. What a disappointment that whole thing was, although Chandler did pretty well considering.
And Douglas, what Tony said, it's the CCP, not the people. Tune out our media as well, they are CCP wannabe's!
Okay, wooooooo............ Count me in on any visit to Washington DC that might include phood and photography!!!! DC is absolutely, hands down my favorite city to do photography in. So much to do with all the museums and memorials you just can't not love it. Especially at dawn and dusk.
Make sure you call me when this event comes together, I'm IN!
Sorry for blasting ya all with a bunch of photo's but.......

Poor J-A, I feel your pain. I’ve managed about 5 Kg since October – actually almost nothing since Christmas. Lockdown makes just staying as I am very difficult. Oh, and Thea is using baking to ease the boredom….. Resistance is futile!
Well I'm retired at the moment...................Just my luck. gas is a buck eighteen, all the time in the world, a million things I'd like to do and......................................................
Even taking the fact that if one expires from a bee sting these days it's classified as a covid death, the graph here doesn't make me want to get real chummy with anyone. Our Friday "opening" needs do be done with caution and common sense.
