This is a USA model lens purchased from Roberts Imaging in Indianapolis. It was sent to Nikon Authorized Service about a year ago to get the AF Lock Ring tightened and they pronounced it mechanically and optically as new. The lens is in very nice shape. The glass is perfect. The focus is true and blazingly fast (fastest lens I have ever used). All of the switches and functions work perfectly. However, in the interest of honesty, this lens is not mint. One of my photos shows a scratch in the black paint on the lens barrel. There is nothing major cosmetically wrong, but there are a few small scratches like this. The two section carbon fiber lens hood is cosmetically very nice and functions perfectly with both locking screws operational. The Nikon Lens Case is in very nice shape and still has the key. The original instruction book is included as well as both tripod feet and the Nikon strap. I will also throw in an Arca Swiss style plate for the tall tripod foot and Alan wrenches for both the tripod feet and the Arca plate.
The lens has never been dropped or abused in any way. I have used it for some fashion shots and to shoot all of the races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the last couple of years. I love this lens but I can simply not justify keeping it, as little as I use it.
I would grade this lens an 8+ at least, but if you need to have a brand new looking lens, this one is not absolutely perfect. If you want a really nice example of one of the best lenses ever made, in great optical and mechanical shape and very good cosmetic shape you will not be disappointed.

I have sold several items including a Nikkor 200 f2 and other lenses, tripods etc here on FM and quite a few on eBay with a perfect record. You can buy with confidence and if the lens is not as I have described you may return it for a full refund less shipping costs. I reserve the right to sell or not to sell this lens to anyone I see fit.
