The hard drive was opened, formatted and used as a temporary backup while setting up a new Drobo. I thought about keeping it for a backup in case another drive died, but I'll just deal with that when the time comes. It will come in the original box with original packaging materials. But will need to be formatted by you depending on your OS/Device.
