V1 is identical to V2 in terms of build, image quality and basically everything else. The only difference is that V2 meters with the camera cause it has a CPU (the camera knows the aperture value), also EXIF data are saved automatically in the file, that's about it. You can do that with V1 by entering the lens profile in the "Non-CPU lens Data" in your Nikon.
Honestly, the price here is one of the best I've seen in a long while and it's very tempting to move on this gem of a lens... GLWS
