goosemang I apologize; I’m not familiar with the blooming issue. I never checked into it. Obviously, I really don’t know, how can I check to see if it does.
honestly, i'm not sure how to check. i suspect it has to do with the serial number, but can't seem to find a solid answer. please don't spend time researching it for me. i've decided to go in another direction.
goosemang, well ya got my interest all up about this...dang it now I got to find out. I sure don't want to sell an item that has some kind of issue.
Okay so I checked into the blooming issue. It is called the white orb issue and Fujifilm will fix under warranty by replacing the sensor with a new one. (as long as the camera is less than one year from date of purchase) I purchased my camera 4/24/2012 and I have the receipt and will send it in this weekend for the replacement. Their rep stated two to three weeks for the repair. Turns out my camera's serial number is 14Axxxxx which unfortunately is one of the first lots manufactured. My bad luck, but whoever buys it will be getting the fix and new sensor!
