Hey, just fyi..most Nikon's will honor the warranty with just the original purchase receipt. So while it's not transferrable, in essence it is. I've taken a lot of different items purchased on FM to my local Nikon office, and they always just ask for a receipt copy, no ID or check that the name matches.
